Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kikumi web application and related services (the “Service”) available at kikumi.it.com, operated by Kikumi (“we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. The Service

Kikumi provides financial calculators and productivity tools tailored to Uganda and East Africa, including mobile money fee comparisons, budget planning, loan, salary, NSSF, VAT, import-duty, fuel and currency tools, plus to-do lists, reminders and spreadsheets. We may add, modify or remove features at any time.

3. Estimates & no financial advice

All calculations, rates, fees, taxes and valuations provided by the Service are estimates for informational purposes only and may not reflect current official figures. They do not constitute financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any figures with official sources (such as your bank, mobile money operator, the Uganda Revenue Authority, or a qualified professional) before acting on them. We are not liable for decisions made based on outputs from the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ data or our systems.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Upload malicious code or content that is illegal, infringing or harmful.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and content you create or upload to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content.

6. Plans & payments

The Service offers a free plan and may offer paid plans with additional features. Where paid plans are available, pricing and limits are shown in the app. Any payment terms will be presented at the time of purchase.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify or distribute it except as permitted by these Terms.

8. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kikumi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal liability.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
